In the province of Ontario, you are required to get an arborist report before adding, injuring or removing a tree from your property. The report will indicate the species, estimated age, health, rarity and size of the tree. The report is submitted to the municipality’s forestry office, which will evaluate the report and determine if the tree can be rescued, or if it should be removed.
In Toronto and the GTA, the law states that if a tree of a certain size is removed from a property, it must be replaced by a new tree(s). I will advise you on the ideal location for the replacement tree to ensure it’s in a healthy spot.
I will complete the arborist report for you, and I can also help you submit it to the municipality. This involves me coming to your property to survey the trees and surrounding areas before helping you with the paperwork and ensuring it is submitted on-time.
